Undergraduate Laboratory Assistant: Algal Cultivation
The School of Biomedical and Chemical Engineering is seeking a Student Hourly researcher for the following position:
This research assistant will assist in a research project on algal cultivation for algal biomass production. A continuous harvesting control system will be tested for algal cultivation to improve algal biomass productivity. The work involves algae culture including algal growth and biomass composition analysis.
Required/Desired Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's major in Chemical and Biological Engineering or bioengineering related.
- Basic laboratory experience.
Desired:
- Work experience in microbiology and algae cultivation.
- Experience using Arduino is preferred.
Location:
Scott Bioengineering building on the Main Campus and Powerhouse Energy Campus
Payrate:
$17 per hour
Hours:
5-15 hrs per week
