The Fire District operates out of one centrally located firehouse and answers approximately 2,900+ calls for service a year, with 70% of our calls being EMS-related. We are a proud member of MABAS Division 12, and equally proud of our ISO Class 2.  We are also part of a multi-jurisdictional cooperative that includes 8 neighboring department; The West Suburban Fire Rescue Alliance ("The Alliance"). Being part of such a robust mutual-aid agreement allows us to conduct monthly auto-aid drills with all 8 departments, have shared SOG's and at times even shared resources. This model of functional cooperation has proven effective on emergency scenes, with seamless multi-jurisdictional operations. The training program also assures that our members stay proficient at their current positions, while also being prepared for future promotions. Several of our members are also active in specialty teams, which include Technical Rescue, Hazardous Materials, or Fire Investigation Task Force. Being a smaller department also allows our members to be more involved in the day-to-day operations. Our members are encouraged and empowered to have extra duties beyond being a Firefighter/Paramedic. We are an all-hazard department that embraces a culture that encourages training and personal & professional development.
