Marketing Intern, part-time
Amalgamated Bank, America’s socially responsible bank, seeks a marketing intern to support the Marketing Department in developing strategies, creating effective sales support materials, and managing and engaging multi-channel marketing campaigns. Note that this is a hybrid part-time internship that requires coming on-site at least 2 days per week. Our hybrid days are: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Qualified candidates will:
- Have experience with and interest in brand and digital marketing
- Have a zeal for researching and planning activations & projects with the goal of increasing brand awareness and affinity

In this role candidates can expect to:
- Provide integrated marketing support across multiple channels and programs, including collateral and sales support, new product launches; change communications; digital marketing campaigns; and prospect and client retention communications.
- Assist with management of Amalgamated social media channels.
- Develop deep understanding of company brand voice and tone.
- Research industry trends and monitor the competitive landscape, identifying opportunities to differentiate Amalgamated in the marketplace.
- Support mission-aligned brand initiatives that solidify Amalgamated as a leader in the socially responsible space.
- Work with vendors to manage campaign requirements, including creative briefs, project plans and budget.
- Provide general marketing support and assist with other marketing functions and day-to-day requests as needed.
- Work with creative team to ensure consistency and adherence to brand guidelines
Requirements:
- Majoring in marketing, communications, advertising or related field
- Ability to utilize multi-channel marketing to meet marketing and company-wide objectives
- Desire to gain an in-depth understanding of marketing trends and research
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, deliverables and deadlines simultaneously and with flexibility
- Excellent writer with strong verbal and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team to drive projects and deliverables
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel; knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programs a plus (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator)
