Deadline Extended! 2026 Technology Careers Trek, Virtual -- March 23-37, 2026

Are you interested in a career in tech? The Loeb Center is hosting a five day-long virtual career exploration trek from March 23- 27, 2026.  There is no cost to participate.

Each evening, students will gather to participate in panels, workshops, and virtual visits with alumni and other professionals working in a range of technical and non-technical roles related to the technology field.  Through conversations with professionals you will emerge with a clearer-eyed view of the field, understand a range of job functions and how to prepare for them, and meet a LOT of Amherst alumni who want to help you succeed.

Past treks have included alumni presenters working in tech companies including Facebook, Google, Airbnb, Lyft, and venture capital firms.

Program Expectations:

  • Mandatory participation in pre-trek orientation session on March 3, 2026
  • Completion of all pre-trek research assignments
  • Full participation in all group discussions, conversations with alumni, and group programming
  • Participation in post-trek debrief session
  • Those accepted into the program will sign a contract committing to the program.
