
Social Media and Community Relations Assistant
The Social Media & Community Relations Assistant is responsible for providing support to the Marketing Team by (1) working on weekend and special event nights to create and publish social media content and live postings throughout weekend and special event nights, (2) monitoring social media engagement and staying current on trends, (3) developing and executing strategies to promote relationships with local college communities and create positive community relationships, (4) organizing and participating in on-site and off -site events and (5) acting as a liaison between the Company Midtown venues and the Midtown and local college communities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work late on special event, weekday and weekend nights to capture and create content (photos, videos, stories, reels) for live postings throughout the night and general content use
- Establish relationships and create grassroot campaigns with local college students, Greek life and alumni groups
- Collect guest feedback to share insights with the marketing team to improve and target future promotions
- Assist with weekly content scheduling and posting across social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Twitter
- Support the management team and marketing team by being directly involved with on-site coverage at events, activations, and photoshoots
- Engage with guests through social media content or through venue attendance/interaction by encouraging social media participation and promoting special events
- Attend major events to engage with guests, capture live content and encourage participation in activations such as contests, giveaways and sporting events
- Ensure captions, responses and reposts reflect the brand identity
- Attend and participate in all venue marketing meetings
- Support guest loyalty and relationship building efforts through giveaways, contests and swag distribution
- Track marketing, web and/or social media performance metrics (engagement, reach, conversion, etc.) and assist in compiling reports when needed
- Research trending sounds, hashtags and content ideas relevant to nightlife, the hospitality industry and the local college communities
- Support community management by engaging with guests, local businesses and the college communities
- Brainstorm campaign ideas for events, specials and promotions
- Participate in and coordinate small-scale street team efforts including college campus outreach and distributing event invitations
- Be consistently involved with the Midtown communities to support partnerships with nearby businesses and maintain and grow a list of contacts with the community, influencers and student groups
- Assist with on-the-ground promotions including distributing flyers, posters and promo materials around Midtown, Belmont University, Vanderbilt University and local hotspots
- Assist with special events by helping with signage, décor set up and guest interactions
- Represent the brand at local industry, community events, college fairs and pop-up activations
- Assist with updating websites, event calendars and email campaigns when needed
- Assist with basic graphic design content for digital or social media use
- Assist venue management with marketing material requests including menus, signage and digital assets
- Assist with photo and video shoots including setup, organization and behind-the-scenes support
- Provide administrative support to the marketing and creative team
