UCLA Event Photographer
Operation Recovery, a nonprofit supporting veterans and first responders, is hosting a two-day health & wellness summit at UCLA. We are seeking a UCLA student photographer to provide event photography coverage on October 14–15, 2025.
The role involves capturing:
- Keynote speakers and panel discussions
- Candid moments of attendees and networking
- Sponsor signage and event branding
- A small set of posed VIP portraits
We’ll need a highlight set within 24 hours for social media, and a full edited gallery within 5–7 days of the event.
This is an excellent opportunity to build your portfolio, gain professional event experience, and contribute to a meaningful cause.
Specific Skills We’re Looking For
- Proficiency with DSLR or mirrorless cameras
- Strong eye for composition and candid photography
- Comfortable working in indoor and mixed-light settings
- Basic editing (exposure, color correction, cropping)
- Ability to meet quick turnaround deadlines
Minimum Requirements
- UCLA student (undergraduate or graduate)
- Portfolio or sample work available online
- Must provide own professional camera equipment and lenses
- Punctual, professional, and reliable
- Available both Oct 14 (8 AM – 6 PM) and Oct 15 (8 AM – 1 PM)
Expected Responsibilities
- Arrive on time, prepared with equipment and backups (batteries, memory cards)
- Cover keynote, breakout sessions, and general event atmosphere
- Capture required sponsor signage and branding for post-event reporting
- Deliver a highlight reel (10–15 edited images) within 24 hours
- Deliver full edited gallery (digital download) within 5–7 days
- Communicate promptly with the event lead for any on-site adjustments
