Operations Manager (Digital Learning & Innovation)

General Description / Primary Purpose:

The Operations Manager provides essential administrative and operational support to Digital Learning and Innovation and its two core units—CIRT and UNF Online—ensuring smooth coordination and operational excellence across DLI initiatives. This role is responsible for managing fiscal operations, supervising support staff, process optimization, and leading compliance with internal and external policies and regulations.

 

Job Functions:

Manage internal policies and procedures and establish and maintain appropriate monitoring to ensure compliance with guidelines for budgets, procurement, travel, and personnel actions.  

Manage instructional cost for all UNF self-supporting academic programs through coordination and monitoring of course scheduling. 

Maintain familiarity with internal and external distance learning compliance developments, laws, regulations, and policies. Make recommendations for UNF to remain compliant, as appropriate.   

Manage state authorization activities, including NC-SARA annual application and associated data reporting.  

Coordinate outreach and education to faculty, staff, and students on distance-learning compliance matters. 

Establish effective business practices and keep up to date with policies, regulations, and procedures. Update business practices to meet evolving operating environment and needs.  

Support, supervise, coordinate, and train DLI budget and operations support staff, serving as a direct line of communication for business operations and professional development.  

Work closely with the directors of CIRT and UNF Online on budgeting and other departmental planning; provide input and ideas to streamline business processes.  

Support online program portfolio management. Facilitate scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and ensuring that stakeholders have all the required information for review. 

Develop relationships with other operational staff and budget officers, and communicate effectively to resolve problems that arise. 

Responsible for the completion of studies and the preparation of reports.  

 

 

Required Qualifications

Master's and 2+ years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.
