Software Engineering Intern (Massachusetts Only)

About the Role

As a Software Intern (AI Bots & Automation), you will work directly with the founder to design, build, and refine AI-driven bots and automation tools that support our marketing and outreach efforts. The candidate must have prior professional experience as a software engineer and familiarity with automation workflows or AI-driven applications.

This internship is well-suited to prepare early-career professionals for roles in software engineering, AI/machine learning, data science, or entrepreneurship. This role will help students and recent graduates with industry experience deepen their technical problem-solving skills, gain hands-on exposure to applying AI in real-world contexts, experiment with automation workflows, and develop direct mentorship relationships with the firm’s founder. The pay for this internship will be $20/hour. The candidate location must be in Massachusetts.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and refine AI bots that comment and reply in online communities (e.g., Reddit).
  • Design and implement automation workflows to streamline outreach and engagement.
  • Debug, test, and iterate on bot functionality in collaboration with the growth marketing team.
  • Explore creative uses of AI to support business and customer success goals.

 

Preferred Skills & Qualities

  • Prior work experience as a full-time software engineer.
  • Proficiency in Python or TypeScript, APIs, and OAuth2.
  • Experience with LLMs, prompt design, and moderation filters.
  • Strong grasp of Reddit API, rate-limiting, and compliance.
  • Knowledge of databases (Postgres/Redis) and web/extension development.
  • Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teammates.
