Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
Sendero Therapies is currently seeking a Full-Time or Part-Time Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team in Northeast Ohio to provide quality therapy services. Our therapists specialize in the evaluation, treatment, and management of children with a variety of developmental, sensory, motor, neuromuscular, educational, and psychosocial disorders, who may experience functional performance limitations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services using evidenced based and skilled techniques under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist as indicated by the Individualized Education Plan (IEP), indicated by goals, objectives, frequency and duration of services for each student.
- Consult weekly with appropriate educational team members for follow up of educational objectives
- Provide all necessary and required documentation and charting in student records, such as quarterly reports.
- Collaborate with team members for delivery of services and advocacy for students and families.
- Provide support to educational staff and students through RTI.
- Act as a fieldwork instructor in the education of university students.
- Assist school district in developing policies and procedures for occupational therapy services rendered in that school district
- Provide in-service training for all school district staff and Company having contact with students.
- Provide Company with appropriate charge documentation for billing and collection on a timely basis.
- Maintain treatment and ethical standards consistent with those of the community, abiding by all school district and Company rules.
- Being that Employee is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, Employee will be provided with appropriate supervision by a Registered Occupational Therapist in accordance with the licensure laws in the State of Ohio.
Requirements:
- Associate Degree or higher required.
- Licensed from the Ohio O.T. Board.
- Maintain valid CPR certification for youth
- Obtain and keep a Pupil Services Certificate from the Ohio Department of Education to practice occupational therapy in the State of Ohio
- Experience working with children that have developmental delays and/or disabilities.
