Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) – Cofounder Track

The Role

We’re seeking a Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to own all things revenue: sales, partnerships, client acquisition, and growth strategy. As a cofounder-level leader, you’ll be responsible for designing and executing the revenue playbook that takes OpenIntel from early traction to sustained growth. This is a high-responsibility, high-upside role for someone who thrives in startups and is hungry to build.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company’s go-to-market (GTM) and revenue strategy.
  • Lead client acquisition efforts across government, enterprise, and SMB sectors.
  • Build and scale sales processes, including outbound, inbound, partnerships, and channel sales.
  • Collaborate with product and technical teams to align market needs with product development.
  • Establish and grow a sales team over time, from playbook to execution.
  • Drive revenue forecasting, KPIs, and performance metrics.
  • Represent OpenIntel with customers, investors, and partners as a core leadership face of the company.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in sales leadership, revenue growth, or business development (ideally in SaaS, B2B, or data/intelligence).
  • Ability to close deals at multiple levels – SMB, enterprise, and government.
  • Strong network or experience in cybersecurity, defense, finance, or intelligence markets is a major plus.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: resourceful, execution-focused, comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Drive to build, own, and scale a company’s revenue engine from scratch.

Compensation

Equity (10–20%): significant ownership stake as a cofounder-level role.

Merit-based pay: direct performance-tied compensation as revenue scales.
