Jay Temaat State Farm Office is a trusted insurance agency located in Pittsburg, KS. We are dedicated to providing excellent customer service and insurance solutions to our community. We are seeking a motivated college intern from Pittsburg State University to join our team for the fall semester.

Position Overview:
This internship offers hands-on experience in insurance sales, customer service, and community marketing. The intern will support office operations by answering phones, making outbound sales calls, and participating in community marketing events. The ideal candidate is goal-oriented, self-motivated, and eager to learn the insurance industry with the potential to transition into a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally.
• Make outbound sales calls to prospective and existing clients.
• Work with management to set and achieve daily and weekly sales and service goals.
• Obtain a state insurance license (training and support provided).
• Participate in in-office activities as well as community marketing events to promote the agency.
• Maintain accurate records of calls, contacts, and sales activities.
• Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Currently enrolled at Pittsburg State University.
• Able to pass a background check.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and goal-driven with the ability to work independently.
• Comfortable working in both office and community settings.
• Willingness and ability to obtain a state insurance license.
