Rita Lighting Assistant

Rita Lighting Assistants work in the areas of lighting for events in the Rita Tallent Picken Regional Center for the Arts & Humanities and with the Lighting Designer for Parkside Theatre productions, as well has help maintain lighting inventory. This position works within the spaces used by the Parkside Theatre Arts and Music departments.

Responsibilities include: 
• Working under the Lighting Supervisor/Production Manager and Show Head Electricians
• Hanging, focusing, and striking of theatrical fixtures that may be used for Rita events or   theatre/music productions.
• Will sometimes require working at heights, on ladders and in Genie lifts
• Organizing and cleaning lighting production areas and equipment
• Replacing theatrical lighting lamps when they go out

Both work study-eligible and non-work study students are encouraged to apply. 

Priority given to Theatre Arts majors/minors.
