Paid Internship
Mwana Villages (mwanavillages.org) is a nonprofit organization with operations located in the Republic of Congo that provides conscientious, ethical orphan care to meet the comprehensive needs of orphans, families and communities in order to break generational cycles.
In Congo, orphaned and vulnerable children are subjected to the worst forms of child labor, including commercial sexual exploitation, human trafficking, and forced domestic work. Mwana combats the rampant exploitation of these children.
When they come into full time care at the Mwana Refuge, the children find safety, and are lovingly and holistically cared for by our trustworthy Congolese staff. The staff seeks family permanency for each child, whether through family reunification, assisting with stability in the birth family or through adoption.
This internship offers valuable exposure to the inner workings of a small non-profit organization, including event implementation, marketing, fundraising, data entry and program development.
