Spanish Language Instructor (San Francisco, CA)

Job description:

Whizara offers student-centered, highly engaging after school classes for K-12 students. The company is looking for enthusiastic instructors who can teach Spanish language for its in-person classes in San Francisco, CA.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create a safe classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Be punctual, reliable and efficient to run an effective class.
  • Follow curriculum, set student's goals, motivate and guide students to provide an enjoyable learning experience.
  • Monitor student progress, advise students and provide feedback and support to students as required to meet student outcomes and course objectives.
  • Work effectively with students, teachers and parents to achieve course goals.
  • Maintain an organized and clean classroom environment.
  • Work independently and be a self-starter.
  • Communicate via email and phone with us as needed.

Job Requirements

  • An associate or bachelor’s degree in Education, Language or related studies
  • Current associate or college students are encouraged to apply
  • Proficiency in Spanish, both written and spoken, at a native or near-native level
  • Previous teaching or tutoring experience of the K-12 age group is preferred
  • Must be able to work with children and remain friendly, calm, and patient at all times
  • Must be able to work in a classroom environment alongside teachers and/or independently
