Be a part of a growing and innovative outpatient concussion rehabilitation center in Tucson, AZ. Our interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals—including medical assistants, athletic trainers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and physicians—works collaboratively to provide individualized care to athletes, adults, and children navigating their recovery from concussions.
As a Clinical Technician, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering hands-on patient care and supporting research initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of concussion rehabilitation using cutting-edge technology and evidence-based protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Visual and Vestibular Testing: Administer advanced assessments to evaluate and track visual and vestibular symptoms in patients recovering from concussions.
- Active Rehabilitation (AR) Protocols: Facilitate and guide patients through individualized rehabilitation protocols designed to improve cognitive, physical, and sensory function.
- Cardiovascular Exertional Testing: Utilize heart rate monitors to assess cardiovascular exertion, ensuring safe and effective patient progress during testing.
- Monitoring Patient Symptoms: Continuously observe and assess patient symptoms during exertional tests to ensure safety and comfort.
- Orthostatic Blood Pressure Measurements: Conduct pre- and post-exertion orthostatic blood pressure readings to evaluate autonomic function.
- Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) Testing: Conduct comprehensive autonomic testing by taking various readings such as ABI blood pressures, HRV, skin conductance and more.
- Agility Exercise Demonstration: Physically demonstrate multi-directional agility drills and exercises that form a part of the rehabilitation process.
- Ocular-Motor Tracking (OMT): Use a virtual reality platform to facilitate and monitor ocular-motor tracking exercises for concussion recovery.
- qEEG Scans: Administer quantitative electroencephalography (qEEG) scans to assist with brainwave analysis and concussion assessment.
- Data Entry & EMR Documentation: Accurately input patient data and test results into our electronic medical records (EMR) system to maintain comprehensive, up-to-date patient profiles.
- Cognitive Testing: Administer cloud-based cognitive assessments using platforms like Creyos and ImPact to measure and track cognitive function over time.
- HBOT/Molecular Hydrogen and Neurofeedback: Setup and attentively monitor patients undergoing treatments.
- Intern Training & Supervision: Mentor and train interns on active rehabilitation protocols, visual/vestibular testing, and other clinical procedures to ensure high standards of patient care.
- Collaboration with Providers: Work closely with physicians and other providers to track patient progress and contribute to the development of treatment plans. Assist in writing and distributing personalized letters to patients regarding their care, progress, and next steps.
- Two-Site Operations: We are hiring one Clinical Technician per site. You'll have the opportunity to work at one of our two locations, collaborating with a dedicated team at either site to provide top-tier care to our patients.
