Part-Time American Sign Language (ASL) Instructor – San Francisco, CA

Whizara offers fun, interactive, and student-centered classes in STEM, world languages, and specialty subjects. We are looking for enthusiastic American Sign Language (ASL) Instructors to join our team in San Francisco, CA.

This opportunity is open to college students, recent graduates, and professionals interested in teaching ASL as a part-time role. Whizara provides the full curriculum, so you can focus on teaching — no lesson planning required.

What You’ll Do

• Create an engaging, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
• Teach ASL lessons using Whizara’s ready-to-use curriculum and materials.
• Inspire students, set clear learning goals, and keep learning fun.
• Provide feedback and monitor student progress.
• Adjust teaching approaches to meet diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with students, families, and colleagues to support success.
• Share feedback on lessons to help improve teaching practices.
• Communicate professionally and reliably.

What We’re Looking For

• Prior teaching or tutoring experience preferred (ASL teaching experience is a plus).
• Comfortable managing and engaging students in an in-person classroom setting.
• Basic computer skills and tech-savviness.
• Creative, adaptable, and able to think on your feet.
• Empathetic and supportive of different student needs.
• Able to work with learners from elementary through high school.
