IT Supervisor

Summary
Leads activities of the IT Department by performing the tasks listed below. This position works with 3rd party IT providers and is the main liaison for Global IT.

Essential Functions
- Coordinate and maintain information security, including virus software, authentication and firewalls.
- Supports the implementation of hardware and software solutions for the enterprise including laptops, cell phones, and system-based software.
- Prepare progress reports to division management regarding project status and deviations from goals.
- Consult with division management to determine information technology requirements including budgets & forecasts.
- Maintain and enforce corporate IT Acceptable Use Policy regarding network security, data backup and acceptable Internet use policies.
- Maintain and negotiate pricing with hardware/software vendors, consultants and computer service providers for purchasing and service contracts.
- Prepare and maintain a SharePoint site of all relevant FAQ’s for users
- Prepare and Maintain All Training Documents for users – this includes new and existing software
- In conjunction with our external partner, troubleshoot TCP/IP based Ethernet network infrastructure including cabling, hubs, switches, routers, WAPs and firewalls. All documented through the IT Ticketing System.
- Collaborate with Global IT regarding the IT roadmap on a continual basis.
- Ensure adequate computer inventory for user refreshes, etc.
- Be a partner with Global IT to support any projects or initiatives.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
- Responsible for supporting the KMC strategic initiatives within the IT department.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct reports.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment in our Florence facility. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines which create low to moderate noise.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard reach, stoop, and kneel.

- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
- Light to moderate lifting is required.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness required.
Expected Hours of Work
This is a salaried, exempt level, full-time position with standard working days/hours of Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm with overtime as necessary to complete required tasks.
Travel
Travel is negligible, but is primarily local and during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected. Travel to Germany or other international locations possible for training/conferences.
Required Education and Experience
- Associates degree in Computer Science or similar field and 2 to 4 years’ related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. IT project management experience and business process design experience required.
Preferred Education and Experience
- MCSE Training and/or Certification preferred.
- User level experience and customization knowledge of SAP Logistics and Finance modules (SD, CS, MM; FI, CO, PS) and SAP ABAP experience a strong plus.

- Salary is determined by experience and qualifications, expected range is between 75k-90k/yr.
