Investment Analyst Intern (Public/Private/VC)
- Be exposed to real world investment related experience from people who have worked in the industry for many years.
- Learn how to update and maintain detailed company financial models and “story decks” for current and prospective investments.
- Read and analyze public company filings, conference calls, and presentations.
- Perform a wide range of research on portfolio holdings and prospective investments.
- Learn how to forecast a company's future financial statements using assumptions and estimates rooted in both qualitative and quantitative analysis to determine a company's valuation.
- Learn about different types of valuation models and how they are used outside of an academic environment.
- Work with the investment team on in-depth due diligence on any potential co-investment opportunities that may arise.
- Learn on the job about change/competitive dynamics across a wide variety of industries. (Previous knowledge of industries is not required)
- Assist the investment team in preparation for calls with company management.
- The internship requires proficiency in Excel and Power Point.
- Work produced by Circumference Group interns is integrated directly into the decision making process of the investment team.
