Worship Music Director

Reeds Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a passionate, Christ-centered Worship Director to help lead our congregation in meaningful, Spirit-led worship. Position Overview
The Worship Director serves under the direction of the Senior Pastor and provides leadership, organization, and oversight for all music and worship-related elements of church life.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a confident vocalist that can read music
- Is comfortable with technology and audio/visual systems
- Can play an instrument (preferred but not required)
- Has a heart for building teams and encouraging others to use their gifts
Key Responsibilities
Sunday Worship Leadership
- Select and prepare music for our Sunday service
- Create lyric slides for congregational worship
- Oversee all Sunday morning worship operations, including:
- Conducting a pre-service rehearsal
- Ensuring audio/video systems and livestream components are fully functional
Midweek & Special Services
- Organize and lead music for Wednesday evening services (currently one congregational song)
- Coordinate and direct music for funerals, including uploading provided audio/video content
Praise Team & Choir Leadership
- Lead weekly Praise Team rehearsals (plus additional sessions as needed)
- Recruit and develop congregational talent
- Oversee seasonal choir ministries, including:
- Collaborate with the pastor to develop Easter and Christmas programs
- Lead weekly choir rehearsals during program seasons
Technology & Church Collaboration
- Maintain and update audio/visual equipment in partnership with the Technology Committee
- Support church committees, ministries and events with audio/video needs
- Serve as an active member of the Finance Committee
Position Details
Hours:
- Part-time (averaging approximately 30 hours per week)
- Schedule based on church needs with built-in flexibility
Salary:
- $36,000–$40,000 annually, based on skills and experience
