Office Attendant (Temporary)
Wilkinson Stekloff LLP is seeking a dedicated, organized, and professional Office Attendant in Washington, DC to support the smooth operation of our offices beginning on/around November 12, 2025 and extending through May 8, 2026. This role is critical to maintaining a productive and professional work environment by performing essential office support duties.
While the position is temporary, it offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a nationally recognized litigation boutique and to build valuable, transferrable skills in office services, facilities management, event coordination, and professional client service. Responsibilities:
- Office Maintenance: Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of high-touch surfaces and maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchens, workrooms, conference rooms, and copy rooms.
- Facilities Support: Regularly inspect office equipment, appliances, and security systems to ensure proper operation, compile maintenance punch lists, and coordinate with building maintenance for repairs.
- Technical Assistance: Troubleshoot technical problems with copiers and other office equipment, restock supplies (paper, staples, toner), and manage shred bins.
- Mail & Logistics: Sort and distribute incoming mail, meter outgoing mail and packages, and schedule or perform courier drop-offs.
- Supply Management: Maintain inventory for the firm's offices and off-site trial teams; stock and organize supply rooms; and manage the firm's snack and drink menu.
- Meeting & Event Support: Monitor conference room schedules, set up rooms with supplies and catering according to ServSafe guidelines, break down and clean rooms after meetings, and assist with next-day preparations.
- Administrative Support: Provide backup for Reception and assist Human Resources with employee office preparations, item relocations, file organization, and assembly tasks.
Qualifications:
- ServSafe Food Handler Certification or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF.
- Ability to work overtime when necessary.
- Ability to lift heavy boxes.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in an office setting preferred.
