Internship Opportunity – Production Mentorship in Film Production with MadLad Films 🎬

MadLad Films is opening the door for one passionate, eager student to join us as a Film Production Intern. This isn’t your average internship — it’s a true mentorship. Over the last 15 years, we’ve built MadLad Films into a trusted name in storytelling, creating content for global brands, tourism, outdoor adventures, and even A-list talent. Now, we’re looking to invest that knowledge directly into the next generation of filmmakers.

As our intern, you’ll receive one-on-one training with our founders and production team — the kind of personal access and feedback you’ll rarely get in film school. You’ll be mentored through every step of the process: from shooting and lighting, to storytelling, editing, and distribution. You’ll get hands-on experience on real productions, with potential travel opportunities and flexible scheduling.

This internship is initially low-pay because it’s truly an investment on our part — we’re sharing trade secrets, hard-earned skills, and professional techniques that normally cost thousands in film school tuition. Instead of theory in a classroom, you’ll be applying lessons immediately on set, gaining skills that lead to paid freelance work and possible part-time or full-time positions with our team.

Gear & Equipment – How to set up, operate, and care for professional cameras, audio, lighting, and stabilizers.

Lighting & Interview Setup – Crafting cinematic looks and creating natural, professional setups for interviews and testimonials.

Shooting Styles – Documentary, branded content, commercials, YouTube short-form and long-form storytelling.

Editing & Workflow – From raw footage to polished final product using industry-standard editing software.

Content for Platforms – Best practices for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and other digital platforms.

Storytelling – How to capture authentic stories that engage audiences and drive results.

The Business of Film – Behind-the-scenes insight into pitching, clients, budgets, and what it takes to run a successful production company.

We’re specifically looking for someone who can grow with us on a freelance, somewhat consistent, on-call basis, willing to travel (expenses paid) - If you show eagerness, pick things up quickly, and prove your reliability, you’ll move into paid freelance opportunities immediately, with the potential for part-time or even full-time work down the road.
