
Video Editing Intern
We’re seeking a motivated Video Editing Intern to help transform raw footage into polished, engaging content for our digital platforms. This role is perfect for a college student or recent graduate eager to sharpen editing skills and gain professional experience in multimedia production.
What You’ll Do
Assist in editing short- and long-form videos for social media (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts), podcasts, educational tutorials, and event recaps.
Learn to mix audio for podcasts distributed on platforms such as Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
Add captions, transitions, effects, and music to enhance storytelling and audience engagement.
Adapt content for different platforms, ensuring correct aspect ratios, pacing, and format.
Perform basic color correction and sound editing under the guidance of our creative team.
Collaborate with team members to maintain consistent brand style and quality.
Stay current on video trends and share creative ideas for new formats.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college/university program in film, media, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Basic familiarity with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar tools.
Strong interest in digital storytelling and social media content creation.
Attention to detail, good organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
Portfolio, reel, or class projects demonstrating editing abilities (school or personal projects welcome).
Internship Details
Schedule: Approximately 10–15 hours per week; flexible around class schedules.
Location: Hybrid—remote editing plus occasional in-person collaboration or shoots in Gardena, CA.
Compensation: Paid internship (hourly rate or stipend, depending on experience).
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear and use hands or fingers to handle objects.
The employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
The noise level in the work environment is generally low to moderate.
Remote/Hybrid work environment with some office presence in Gardena, CA.
Part-time contracted position (minimum of 10-15 hours per week).
