While we have over 120 employees nationwide, we have approximately 13 that work for the corporate office in Westerville, Ohio. About the Role

DSI is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support the HR Operations Manager. This role offers hands-on experience in HR initiatives, labor law, compliance, and onboarding.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • Assist with onboarding process for employees and contractors
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies, assisting in audits and reporting as required
  • Support the timekeeping process
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve employee engagement and organizational effectiveness

 

 

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources or Business Management
  • Familiarity with HR processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with database systems and common HR applications
  • Understanding employment laws and regulations as well as industry-specific regulations
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Discretion and the ability to keep data private
