Social Media Intern

This internship begins June 1, 2026 and ends August 21, 2026.

Location – Low Hybrid 
This is a hybrid role, which means that you will have the flexibility to work both onsite and at a distance. You will collaborate onsite at our Cashton, WI office for 3-5 days per week, and the rest of the time you can choose to work remotely or onsite.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Organic Social 
• Support community engagement by responding to comments and messages across social platforms, providing timely and brand-aligned customer service.  
• Interact via comments and reactions with targeted audiences as part of the reach and discoverability expansion program for the brand. 
• Conduct a comprehensive content audit of Organic Valley’s Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest channels and provide actionable recommendations to improve performance and audience engagement. 
• Conceptualize and produce seasonal and trend-driven content for Organic Valley’s social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Pinterest). Responsibilities include filming and editing media assets, serving as on-screen talent when appropriate, and crafting compelling copy.  
• Analyze current trends across major platforms to inform Organic Valley’s social strategy. 
• Evaluate emerging platforms and opportunities for expanding Organic Valley’s organic social presence. 
 

Paid Social
• Support setup and execution of paid social media ads across platforms including Meta, TikTok and Pinterest. 
• Support ad creation across Meta, TikTok, and Pinterest by writing compelling copy, drafting creative briefs, and coordinating with design teams to develop visuals. 
• Monitor and report on paid social media ad performance on weekly and monthly basis, providing data-driven insights and optimization recommendations to improve campaign effectiveness across platforms including Meta, TikTok and Pinterest. 
 

Additional Duties and Responsibilities
• Meet with stakeholders across CROPP to discuss their roles and performance goals 
• Prepare final report about internship projects, learnings, recommendations and experience to present to key stakeholders and leadership 
 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Currently enrolled in post-secondary education with one year or less from graduation required. 
• Currently working towards a degree in marketing, communications or public relations preferred.   
• Strong interest in and aptitude for marketing data analysis. 
• Course work in digital marketing/social media required. 
• Familiarity with how major social platforms work and interest in creating content for them preferred. 
• Strong communication skills; both verbal and written required. 
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs required. 
• Ability to prioritize workload and responsibilities effectively. 
• Ability to work individually and in a team environment. 
• Strong organizational and time management skills. 
• Interest in organic and working with farmers and cooperative business model preferred. 
 

Hourly wage: $18 per hour
 

Internship Program Overview:
-Program concludes after 12 weeks (first week of June 2026-August 2026)
-Furnished housing provided or housing stipend
-Engaging and project-based experiences with a leading organic food brand
-Network and learn from our business leaders in a "Learn The Co-op Series"
-Various intern group events held throughout the summer
-Interns are paid hourly for time worked
-Interns are responsible for transportation to and from work
