Mass Tort Summer Associate

DiCello Levitt is seeking compassionate and driven law students to join our Mass Tort Practice Group as Summer Associates in our Birmingham office. This immersive program offers hands-on experience in high-impact litigation involving widespread harm caused by corporate negligence. Summer Associates will work closely with experienced trial lawyers to support justice for individuals and communities affected by large-scale wrongdoing.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct extensive legal research 
• Assist with trial preparation, including drafting motions and reviewing discovery
• Support litigation across mass tort matters 
• Collaborate with attorneys across offices and assist other teams as needed

Required Qualifications

• Completion of at least one year of law school at an accredited institution
• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
• Professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive client matters

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience in litigation through internships, clinics, or coursework
• Familiarity with legal research platforms such as Westlaw or LexisNexis
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
