Media Arts Director Job Description
The Tabernacle Family Worship Center is seeking a passionate and skilled individual to serve as our Media Arts Director. This role is central to our mission of sharing the gospel and engaging our community through excellence in media. The Media Arts Director will oversee and actively participate in all aspects of media production, including video recording, sound engineering, live streaming, and social media content creation. This individual will lead the media team, manage equipment, and ensure that all worship services, events, and online content reflect the excellence and spirit of our ministry.
This is a part-time position requiring weekend availability and participation in special events. Compensation may include internship credit or a stipend, depending on experience and role.
Key Responsibilities
- Video Production & Editing: Record weekly worship services, Bible studies, and special events; edit recordings for rebroadcast and promotion.
- Sound & Audio Engineering: Operate and troubleshoot the soundboard; ensure high- quality audio for in-person worship and live streams.
- Social Media & Digital Engagement: Create posts, reels, and graphics; increase online engagement; share meaningful ministry moments.
- Team Leadership & Creative Collaboration: Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers; work with leaders to capture and share impactful content.
- Equipment & Technical Oversight: Maintain cameras, microphones, lighting, and sound equipment; recommend upgrades as needed.
Qualifications
- Degree or coursework in Communications, Media Studies, Film, Journalism, Audio Engineering, Marketing, or Graphic Design, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency with video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar). - Knowledge of live sound equipment and microphones.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Creative, reliable, detail-oriented, and passionate about using media to tell stories and impact lives.
