VanEck’s Summer Intern Program includes exposure across the firm through educational, mentorship, and networking events. As an Intern, you will also be exposed to the firm’s senior management, gain an understanding of the financial services industry and learn critical business skills. As the Digital Marketing Summer Intern, the student will have the opportunity to work closely with the marketing team on projects that include web analytics, AI-driven personalization, content management, and campaign development. This intern will learn to effectively collaborate with team members, contribute to creative projects, and gain hands-on experience with tools such as Figma, Excel, and PowerPoint.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following, other duties may be assigned as needed:

  • This internship will focus on digital marketing systems and AI-enabled platforms that enhance VanEck’s client experience. You will work across web, email, IT systems, and AI tools to support digital initiatives.
  • Gain hands-on experience with web analytics (GA4, Crazy Egg), marketing automation (Marketo), and CMS (Optimizely 13).
  • Support the Optimizely 13 upgrade project, including the adoption of a pattern library to improve design consistency, governance, and scalability.
  • Assist in building a personalized website and email experiences by analyzing behavioral data.
  • Support the integration and adoption of AI tools (OPAL AI, Chat GPT, personalization) to optimize client journeys and efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with marketing analytics to track and analyze web and email engagement metrics, producing reports for senior management with actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Partner with IT to manage JIRA tickets, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth marketing system operations.
  • Collaborate with marketing communications to ensure content alignment and cross-promotion across the VanEck website, SEO, and email.
  • Explore AI use cases for content generation and operational efficiency.
  • Provide recommendations on UI/UX enhancements to improve client engagement across digital channels.

 

Qualifications  

  • Interest in digital marketing, web analytics, and AI-driven personalization.
  • Experience in analytics and HTML is helpful.
  • Familiarity with Figma, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning new technology, CMS, and AI systems.
  • Roll-up-your-sleeves work ethic with a proactive mindset.

 

Education and/or Experience                                             

  • Currently entering junior level (3rd year) or beyond within a 4-year college program.
  • Some experience within a corporate environment is helpful but not required.

Compensation

  • The maximum hourly rate for this position is $25 an hour
