Conduct, direct, plan, and lead instrumental or vocal performances in Church; Create original works of music; Audition and select members of choir; Select appropriate music for church services including special events; Direct, plan, and guide musical rehearsals and performance in connection with church services and special events; Utilize knowledge of conducting techniques and music theory to direct choir and musical instrumentalists to achieve planned and designed effect of performance, such as tonal and harmonic balance, dynamics, rhythm, tempo, and shading; Study each member’s voice, tone, rhythm, and tempo and perform coaching on each individual to help develop vocal/instrumental and musical skills; Sing as a soloist or play organ or piano for member of vocal ensemble for directions and cues.

 

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Arts in Music or Related.
