
Girls Youth Lacrosse Coach
The Senior Girls Youth Lacrosse Coach is responsible for leading and developing players at the senior youth level within Guilford’s growing lacrosse program. We are seeking a coach who brings strong lacrosse knowledge and leadership skills.
This role emphasizes teaching advanced skills, fostering teamwork and sportsmanship, and preparing athletes for higher levels of play in a positive and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct structured, age-appropriate practices that build both individual skill and team concepts.
- Coach and manage games with an emphasis on player development, effort, and sportsmanship.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that motivates athletes and supports their growth on and off the field.
- Work collaboratively with assistant coaches, program leadership, and other town teams to ensure consistency in player development.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with players, parents, and program staff
- Serve as a role model for young athletes by demonstrating professionalism, respect, and enthusiasm for the sport.
Qualifications
- Prior lacrosse playing and/or coaching experience required; experience coaching youth or high school girls preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the rules, strategies, and techniques of lacrosse.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to inspire and positively influence young athletes.
Time Commitment
- Preseason Sessions (optional): Sundays, January – March
- Regular Season: April – early June
- Practices: 2-3 times per week
- Games: Weeknights and weekends
