
LEGO Robotics Instructor (K-8 After-School, Oakland)
Part-Time | Contract
Schedule: 1-2 hours/ week, Fall after-school classes (between 12 PM and 5 PM)
Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour, depending on experience

Overview
Do you enjoy building and coding with LEGO Robotics? We’re looking for an enthusiastic Robotics Coach to guide students in grades K–8 through fun, hands-on after-school classes. This role combines teaching, mentorship, and STEM exploration, giving young learners the chance to discover teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity through robotics.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate weekly 60-minute robotics sessions using a prepared curriculum.
- Demonstrate building and programming techniques while assisting students step by step.
- Support classroom management and ensure a safe, organized environment.
- Encourage collaboration, persistence, and creative problem-solving.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with youth in classrooms, camps, or after-school programs.
- Knowledge of LEGO Robotics systems (Mindstorms, EV3, NXT, or LEGO League).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and available for the full Fall session.
- A passion for STEM education and inspiring young learners.
