
Ad Operations Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented Ad Operations Specialist to join our growing team. This role is technical and hands-on — focused on digital video ad trafficking, tag QA, reporting, and troubleshooting, not creative strategy or marketing. The ideal candidate has experience with video and CTV/OTT ad serving (Freewheel strongly preferred) and thrives in fast-paced digital environments, but willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Traffick and monitor audio, display, and video ad campaigns, including generating and testing ad tags across multiple platforms.
- Perform creative QA to ensure assets function correctly across browsers, devices, and environments.
- Monitor campaign pacing, delivery, and budget utilization; adjust line items and trafficking settings for smooth performance.
- Run first-party vs. third-party delivery reconciliations; diagnose and resolve discrepancies.
- Provide technical troubleshooting and rapid issue resolution for ad delivery problems.
- Prepare reporting dashboards and campaign summaries; communicate status updates to account teams.
- Manage and optimize publisher programmatic stack (SSPs, header bidding, yield settings).
- Identify workflow/process improvements to increase operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 6 months – 2 years of publisher-side ad operations experience (trafficking, campaign setup, QA), ideal but not required.
- Hands-on experience with Freewheel's video ad server; CTV/OTT experience a plus.
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas); comfort with reporting and reconciliation.
- Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, and ad tags; experience with verification/viewability tools.
- Understanding of programmatic platforms (SSPs, DMPs, yield management).
- Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to multitask in a deadline-driven environment.
