We are currently looking for a Facilities Engineering Intern to join our team in Smyrna, TN.

A Day in the Life:   

Assist other technical staff to maintain compliance with all air, water, and waste regulations (federal, state, local) that apply to the region.

Perform internal and external environmental regulatory compliance audits and site checks for the region (all media).

Review, approve, and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and Material Approval Forms (MAFs) via a database that supports the site’s compliance with environmental regulations.

Support project study and information requests for the sites.  Perform relevant and necessary new technology evaluations.

Assists in the development of budgets for assigned areas; prepares project folders and supports cost and feasibility studies for new projects.

Support the development of procedures and instructions in conformance with the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and Environmental Policy.

Who We’re Looking for:

Required:

Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate degree program in Engineering

Zero to 1 years of related experience at a professional level.

Advanced knowledge of word processors, spreadsheets, other PC applications, or mainframe applications to create specialized applications or products of a highly technical nature

GPA of 3.0 or above (Candidates will be required to provide an official or unofficial transcript during the application process for verification.)                                                                                                                                  

Ability to perform work onsite at the Smyrna Vehicle Assembly Plant.
