Tasks and Responsibilities
- We are a 24/7 center, especially when students are abroad. To be open during regular semester UU office hours, we require student workers to supplement our part-time administrative assistant and professors that also teach in the languages department. This reduces the total cost to the university and allows us to remain available to the student body.
- In addition, our student workers promote our activities thru social media posts, photography, brochures and posters. They aid professors to prepare for class - copies, running errands, scans, etc. They answer phones, check mail, run errands, prepare event spaces, tear down event spaces, shred confidential papers, email students, answer student and faculty questions/concerns, take payments, make deposits and keep all confidential data & documents protected. In addition, student workers who speak French assist Professor Malone in preparing for French classes such as proof-reading assignments.
