Graphic Design Academy Internship (10/1/2025 - 06/05/2026)

The Asian Liver Center at Stanford University is the first non-profit organization in the United States that addresses the high prevalence of hepatitis B and liver cancer in Asians and Asian Americans. Founded in 1996, the Asian Liver Center uses a four-pronged approach towards fighting hepatitis B through CARE: collaboration, advocacy, research, and education/outreach.

Duties

  • Internship dates are from 10/01/2025 through 06/5/2026.
  • Up to 10 hours per week during business hours at our Palo Alto office M-F, 9 AM -5.30 PM.
  • Interns are eligible to receive a performance-based stipend at the conclusion of the internship up to $2,000.
  • 1-hour weekly internship meeting. Time to be mutually agreed upon by all interns.
  • Attendance and participation from all interns for designated outreach events.
  • Design promotional materials including branding, brochures, presentation designs, infographics, advertising, websites, email marketing, etc.
  • Design Online Animation.
  • Design social media layout and marketing items for campaigns.
  • Work closely with Youth Leadership Interns and staff for the YLC conference.
  • Collaborate with design and marketing staff to produce material graphic solutions for corporate communications, advertising, and marketing items - both print and web-based.
  • Update existing brochures, flyers, etc. whenever changes are requested.
  • Work with vendors and suppliers to keep marketing materials in stock.
  • Organize and maintain files for production and distribution.
  • Assist in maintaining an archive of graphic files.
  • Communicate with team members and receive feedback on the design.
  • Support the team throughout the execution of campaigns and projects.
  • Remain attentive to details at the proofing stages for all deliverable items.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Working towards a BA from a Graphic Design School
  • Eligible to work in the USA
  • Please provide portfolio if available
  • Proficient in Creative Cloud software such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Adobe After Effect, Premiere and etc.
  • Must have a working understanding of layout, type, and color.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow established brand guidelines.
  • Ability and willingness to learn and take directions for design.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Must have excellent communication, organizational and follow-up skills, as well as a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in dynamic environments.
  • Positive attitude and a proven team player.
  • Light to moderate Web design skills.
