About Kinlee
Kinlee is a soon-to-be-launched rebranded app designed to combat modern parental loneliness by helping millennial moms and dads find their people, real-life friendships, connections, and community. We’re building a space where your story matters, energy is matched, and your village finds you.
As we gear up to relaunch and rebrand, we’re looking for a UI/UX Design Intern to work closely with our CMO (formerly of Apple, Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, and Campbell’s) on bringing Kinlee’s brand vision into the app itself. You’ll help polish design ratios, flows, and layouts so that our engineering team can bring them to life seamlessly..
You’ll report directly to our CMO and collaborate with the engineering team.
What You’ll Do
Assist with wireframing, prototyping, and user flow mapping for new and upcoming features
Create visually consistent, mobile-friendly layouts that feel modern yet approachable
Collaborate with the founder and CMO to ensure design reflects Kinlee’s mission + vibe
Support the build-out of a design system (colors, typography, iconography, components)
Help prepare polished assets for developer hand-off in Figma
Research user needs and bring empathy into every design decision
Who You Are
A student or early-career designer passionate about mobile apps and product design
Proficient in Figma (or eager to become fluent quickly)
Curious about user experience design and testing
Able to balance aesthetics with usability — you care how it looks and how it feels
Detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable iterating on feedback
Bonus Points
Experience designing for iOS/Android (familiar with platform guidelines)
Knowledge of accessibility best practices (color contrast, type size, etc.)
Motion design or micro-animation skills
Basic understanding of front-end (HTML/CSS)
What You’ll Gain
Direct mentorship from our CMO on brand, design, and global-scale marketing execution
Hands-on product design experience with a mission-driven, early-stage tech brand
A real portfolio piece that shows you can design for mobile at scale
A voice in shaping the look and feel of Kinlee 2.0
Networking, LinkedIn recs, and priority consideration for future paid roles
