This co-op will be hybrid, and students must be located near one of our U.S. offices – Wellesley, MA; Kansas City, MO; Hartford, CT; Portland, ME; Milwaukee, WI.

 

The Role 

Sun Life U.S. Health and Risk Solutions is looking for a proactive, positive, and dynamic team player to join our Medical Intelligence team as a co-op student supporting the development of key training materials for conducting provider research for a wide variety of specialties. As a member of the team, you will gain valuable hands-on experience. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about healthcare research and navigation.

 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Research and compile data to develop a library of resources for provider identification for 40+ specialties

Collaborate with Medical Intelligence Analysts to develop standard operating procedures for research processes

Assist Medical Intelligence Team Leads with updating the team’s SharePoint site

Other duties as assigned

Core skill sets needed for this role:

Experience in healthcare research or healthcare field preferred

Exceptional internet researching skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills Working knowledge of MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook and Adobe products

Proactive, able to manage multiple projects with demanding deadlines

Highly-motivated, self-driven, focused, strong attentive to detail

 

The Candidate

To be eligible for a co-op at Sun Life, you must meet the following requirements:

Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university during the time of internship (January 2026 - June 2026)

Must be an undergraduate or graduate student in, healthcare information management, health administration, public health, nursing, or related field of study

Eligible to legally work in the United States

Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during co-op session

 

Compensation for this position will be around $25/hr.
