Cabin Leader

Cabin Leader (19+) 

Type: Summer Staff, Salary 

Team: Cabin Leader 

Team Leader: Head Cabin Leader 

Immediate Supervisor: Program Manager 

Supervises: Campers 

 

Purpose Statement: 

The ministry of Camp Rivercrest depends upon a summer staff that is committed to carrying out our mission. Summer Staff has the incredibly meaningful responsibility of being a Christ-like example to campers of all ages. Camp Rivercrest expects our summer staff to always live a life that honors God, not just while camp is in session. 

We understand no one is perfect and the right people for these jobs will have flaws, but we desire our staff to be of the highest quality for the immense task before them of making disciples for the Kingdom of God.

Responsibilities: 

1. Intentionally build relationships with campers and all staff 

2. Responsible for leading and including groups of campers in camp activities, games, and discussions 

3. Grows in personal relationship with Christ

4. Modeling spiritual disciplines and desired behaviors to campers 

5. Ability to communicate with summer leadership and core staff 

6. Ability to stay on schedule 

7. Growing in personal relationship with Christ (attending chapel, small groups, personal quiet time) 

8. Other duties as assigned (especially during potential off weeks) 

 

Requirements: 

1. Complete a background check 

2. Previous experience with youth preferred 

3. Active relationship with Christ 

4. Able to meet physical, emotional, and spiritual demands of the position 

5. Must be in harmony with Camp Rivercrest mission and values 

6. Must be in harmony with the CMA Statement of Faith
