2026 Business Continuity Internship - (Boston or Seattle)
General Description
The Business Continuity and Resilience (BC&R) Intern will be involved in assisting the BC&R Team with a variety of distinct initiatives supporting business continuity, disaster recovery and emergency preparedness. The role will support the team with program deliverables, BC planning updates, data entry, and qualitative and quantitative analysis. The position requires teamwork and collaboration with multiple departments across the Firm.
Intern roles at Parametric will be part of our hybrid working model – this includes working in the office 3 days a week and choosing where one works best the remaining days of the week.
Duration: 10 Weeks
Office Location either: Seattle, 800 5th Ave. or Boston, One Post Office Sq.
Salary set at $31.25 per hour. Position is not eligible for benefits. No relocation or housing available.
Primary Responsibilities
– Ensure timely and accurate delivery of all requests
– Assist with ad hoc data requests in support of the team
– Develop strong relationships with internal subject matter experts with particular attention to developing strong BC and DR knowledge
– May be required to take on additional responsibilities and initiatives that will be executed with limited direction from the Director and Analyst staff
– Facilitate the development and maintenance of business continuity plans and procedures
– Develop guidance for business functions on program best practices
– Contribute and conduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA) process reviews with the business
– Assist with incident coordination and communication
– Facilitate and create tabletop exercises in support of BC planning
– Prepare for IT DR exercises
– Manage Fusion Risk Management business continuity and disaster recovery updates in the application (at the direction of the BC&R Analyst)
Job Requirements
– Able to work 40 hours per week during the summer.
– Junior progressing towards a Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management / Disaster Sciences, Technology, or a related discipline preferred
– Intermediate Excel skills, including V-Lookup and experience with large data sets
– Ability to work and excel independently
– Possess excellent communication and organizational skills and be able to handle a deadline-oriented workload
– High attention to detail and strong sense of urgency
– Must possess a high level of initiative and have a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
– Able to execute assigned deliverables, apply critical thinking skills to solve complex issues and drive strategy
– Willingness to learn the firm's structure, key personnel and organizational policies and procedures, in addition to a functional knowledge of a professional services environment
