Position Overview
As a Market Research Intern, you will play a crucial role in gathering, analyzing, and presenting market intelligence that drives our strategic business decisions. This position offers hands-on experience in the cybersecurity industry while developing valuable research and analytical skills in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Market Analysis & Intelligence
- Conduct comprehensive research on cybersecurity market trends, threats, and industry developments
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies, and service offerings
- Analyze target market segments and identify potential customer profiles
- Track regulatory changes and compliance requirements affecting our industry
Data Collection & Analysis
- Gather data from primary and secondary sources including industry reports, surveys, and interviews
- Compile and analyze customer feedback, testimonials, and case studies
- Research potential partnership opportunities and vendor relationships
- Create detailed market research reports with actionable insights and recommendations
Strategic Support
- Assist in developing buyer personas and customer journey mapping
- Support lead generation efforts through prospect research and qualification
- Help identify new market opportunities and emerging technology trends
- Contribute to competitive intelligence briefings for leadership team
Communication & Reporting
- Prepare professional presentations and executive summaries
- Maintain organized databases of research findings and market intelligence
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to translate research into actionable strategies
- Present findings to internal stakeholders and participate in strategy discussions
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a Bachelor's degree program in Business, Marketing, Economics, Information Technology, or related field
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts and terminology
- Experience with data analysis tools and research methodologies preferred
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship or coursework in market research, business analysis, or cybersecurity
- Familiarity with research tools such as SurveyMonkey, Google Analytics, or CRM platforms
- Knowledge of B2B sales processes and technology purchasing decisions
- Understanding of managed services business models
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
