The Role

We're looking for an ambitious part-time intern to become the right-hand to our owner, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in every aspect of the restaurant and food production industry. This position stands out from typical restaurant roles by focusing on the entrepreneurial journey of building and scaling a business that offers scratch-made, hearty food at accessible prices. You'll immerse yourself in food production, kitchen operations, sales, marketing, finance and franchising, contributing to our mission while enjoying a flexible schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Food Production & Kitchen Operations: Assist in the daily creation of scratch-made pierogies, kielbasa and other menu items, ensuring adherence to our high standards of using only real, Grandma-approved ingredients.
Sales & Business Development: Support growth efforts across dine-in, takeout, delivery, frozen retail and nationwide shipping channels; support franchising and partnership opportunities to drive growth.
Marketing & Customer Engagement: Help craft compelling narratives around our mission, executing campaigns that emphasize affordable quality and build a dedicated community of customers.
Finance Oversight: Contribute to budgeting, financial analysis, vendor contracts, compliance and strategic planning for sustainable scaling.
Entrepreneurial Learning: Rotate through all business facets, from inventory management to event coordination, providing innovative ideas and problem-solving support to the owner on special projects.
Owner Partnership: Serve as a key collaborator, offering insights and taking on leadership roles as the company evolves.

What We're Looking For

1-3 years of experience in food service, hospitality, operations or entrepreneurship (experience in startups or family businesses is a plus).
Strong organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach; comfortable with both tactical tasks (e.g., food prep) and strategic initiatives (e.g., market research).
Excellent communication skills for thriving in a collaborative, fast-paced setting.
Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality or a related field is preferred, but demonstrated drive and initiative are more important.
Flexibility for variable hours, including evenings and weekends during busy periods.
