Teach and Trek Intern
Summer 2026 Internship Program – Initiatives Foundation
Program Highlights
Support Organizational Operations
Interns will contribute to the day-to-day functioning of the Initiatives Foundation, supporting project coordination, outreach, communications, fundraising, logistics, and administrative tasks. This experience offers interns a firsthand understanding of how an education-focused nonprofit operates on the ground in Nepal.
Contribute to a Meaningful Project
Each intern will be part of the Teach and Trek program, our flagship initiative that blends education, cultural immersion, and adventure. Interns will:
- Teach STEM and soft skills in under-served schools across rural Nepal, directly impacting students with limited access to quality learning.
- Collaborate with local teachers to design engaging, practical lesson plans that leave behind lasting value.
- Develop supplemental resources that strengthen the Foundation’s long-term mission of expanding access to quality education.
Explore Nepal
Beyond the classroom, interns will immerse themselves in Nepal’s vibrant culture and natural beauty. The program includes:
- Living in local communities to experience authentic cultural exchange.
- Visits to UNESCO World Heritage sites in the Kathmandu Valley.
- A culminating trek through the Manaslu Region, one of the Himalayas’ most breathtaking and less-traveled trails—an opportunity for both reflection and personal growth.
