K-Pop Dance Instructor at K-Pulse NYC

🩵 Job Overview:

At K-Pulse NYC, we are dedicated to bringing the electrifying energy and vibrant culture of K-pop dance to our community. Our mission is to provide a welcoming space where everyone can experience the joy of dance in a casual and supportive environment.

We are seeking an energetic, passionate, and experienced K-Pop Dance Instructor to teach and inspire students through choreography based on popular K-pop routines. The ideal candidate has a strong background in dance, a love for K-Pop culture, and the ability to teach diverse age groups and skill levels.

Pay Rate is: $30-$50/hr depending on experience.

 

🧩 Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach K-Pop choreography to beginner, intermediate, and advanced students. The current focus is K-Pop Cover Focused for existing K-Pop choreography. Original choreography may be available in the future.
  • Lead warm-ups, cool-downs, and foundational technique exercises.
  • Prepare students for performances, showcases, and competitions.
  • Provide individual feedback and foster a supportive learning environment.
  • Stay updated with current K-pop trends, songs, and choreography.
  • Maintain class discipline and ensure student safety during sessions.
  • Collaborate with studio staff for scheduling and event planning.
  •  

🎯 Qualifications: 

  • 5+ Years of Dance Experience or relevant skill level, especially in K-pop, hip-hop, or urban styles.
  • Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required for instructors with strong communication ability (in this case we would have you demo your instructing)
  • Strong understanding of K-pop choreography and idol performance styles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with a range of age groups (teens, adults).
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and reliable personality.
  • Fluent in English (Some Korean language is a plus).
  • Availability for evenings/weekends, depending on the class schedule.
  •  

🎁 Bonus Skills (Preferred but not required):

  • Experience with performance coaching or stage prep.
  • Background in music editing or video production.
  • Ability to teach in both in-person and virtual formats.
