Energy Efficiency Engineer

Summary

We’re looking for a full-time engineer graduating in December 2025 or May of 2026 to help our firm create energy efficiency projects. We’re an engineering firm that performs building upgrade studies, construction projects, financing, etc. We need help from a young, ambitious engineer to perform energy studies, economic analysis, data processing and other tasks to help us execute assessments and construction projects. Most hours will be spent in-office or on client sites, but our work location is somewhat flexible and some work can be performed remotely.

Skills & Qualifications

Mechanical, Electrical or Architectural Engineering degree is preferred, but other engineering degrees or technical training may also qualify. Most importantly, students should have a strong desire to learn about, and have a passion for, energy efficiency and renewable energy.

Work Roles and Responsibilities

New engineer will be directly involved in real-world studies and projects and will be involved in:

  • Modeling buildings' energy consumption and energy efficiency concepts
  • Performing site-walks to identify opportunities to reduce building energy consumption
  • Designing and modifying HVAC systems, lighting systems, building controls, solar photovoltaic and other building systems
  • Developing financial strategies and financing for energy efficiency projects
  • Overseeing construction projects to ensure proper installation and performance of building efficiency improvements
