Information Security Operations Specialist

Network Integration – Remote (U.S Based) 

The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) is looking for an Information Security Operations Specialist to support CBN’s cybersecurity efforts across endpoints, servers, and cloud environments to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of its information systems and data. Responsibilities include contributing to security engineering by proactively identifying and mitigating threats, applying patches to address vulnerabilities, and assisting end users with security-related concerns. This professional will also support technology operations from a security standpoint by ensuring that monitoring systems, network infrastructure, and application configurations are securely implemented and consistently maintained. Serving in this position facilitates ministry activities and contributes to CBN’s Biblical mission to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ worldwide.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Introductory knowledge of cybersecurity principles and risk management
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, etc.), network tools (Wireshark, Fluke) & operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux)
• Baseline familiarity with scripting tools, especially Microsoft PowerShell 
• Strong analytical, time management and organizational skills
• Consistent willingness to learn and apply new technology
• Strong ability to troubleshoot networks and systems using monitoring/alert tools
• Ability to analyze complex documentation effectively and work with AI assistant tools responsibly 
• Knowledge of vulnerability and patch management practices
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently as well as be an effective member of a team
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with ability to establish rapport with all levels of staff and management
• Ability to execute both oral and written instructions
• Flexible with ability to work well under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
• Availability to work shifts and after hours as need/on-call
• Demonstrate life application of Biblical principles and practices in alignment with CBN’s non-profit Christian mission
