Stowe Land Trust (SLT)/VHCB AmeriCorps, Stowe

Focus on hands-on, people-centered stewardship of all the Stowe Land Trust’s conserved lands! Care for existing trail systems, enhance and expand trails to better meet the needs of a variety of users, and improve trail access for all. This position also supports SLT’s Stewardship Director in easement monitoring, boundary marking, and other activities. This position is Full Time (1720 hours).

Stowe Land Trust’s Mission: Conserving the land and waters we love to enhance quality of life for all connected to the Stowe area.

This is a position with the Vermont Housing and Conservation Board (VHCB) AmeriCorps program. VHCB AmeriCorps members are placed at nonprofits that support affordable housing, land conservation, and environmental education.

The Land and Trails Steward will:

• Assess, plan, conduct, and oversee trail work activities
• Coordinate and lead individual and group adult and youth volunteers on stewardship projects
• Assess and oversee invasive species removal 
• Monitor conserved land

Position begins January 13 and ends December 11, 2026. Member can expect to serve in the field and the office.
