UI/UX Designer Intern

Dark Sides Lab is the world’s first AI HS (Honesty & Safety) watchdog: exposing the dark side of fake, overhyped AI products so the tech industry can actually build something trustworthy.

We run a weekly “BS Leaderboard” that ranks AI products by exaggerated claims, bad UX, fake reviews, and broken promises. Our research blends investigative reports, user review scraping, product testing, and community voting.

If you’re tired of AI snake oil and want to help the world see the truth behind the hype, DSL is the place.

UI/UX Designer Intern – Hype Killer by Design

What you’ll do:

  • Design Product Hunt-style website but darker, bolder, satirical.
  • Create leaderboard visuals (charts, BS Score meters, product report layouts).
  • Build wireframes for new features (downvote button, submit-BS form, Pro vs Free dashboard).
  • Design email newsletter templates (free vs Pro users).
  • Make brand visuals (logos, memes, GIFs) that reflect DSL’s dark satire tone.
  • Translate complex datasets into intuitive data visualizations.
  • Contribute to a Design System to ensure consistency across the platform.
  • Collaborate with PMs and engineers to quickly iterate.

What we’re looking for:

  • Familiarity with Figma, Adobe XD, or similar design tools.
  • Interest in data visualization or B2B dashboard design.
  • Clear, minimalistic design taste — ability to make information “click” at first glance.
  • Eagerness to grow in a fast-moving, early-stage team.

What we offer to you

  • Working with passionate experts and being part of an exciting project
  • Lots of potential to learn new stuff about the AI revolution
  • A great team spirit and startup flair where you can grow together with us
  • Potential opportunity for full job offer
