Business Support Legal Assistant
Mika Meyers is currently seeking a full-time legal assistant for a position in its Grand Rapids office. The ideal candidate must have significant recent experience supporting attorneys in business, commercial finance, estate planning and real estate law practice areas. Experience in litigation is a plus. Our ideal candidate should possess proficiency in Office 365 (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe) and document management programs.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with preparation of documents for entity formations, business financing and contracts
- Assisting with documents for real estate transactions
- Assisting with documents for estate planning
- Assisting with State licensing matters, such as liquor licenses
- Managing paper and electronic files for ease of use and accuracy
- Maintaining calendars and arranging meetings
- Distributing confidential correspondence
- Maintaining strict confidentiality in all aspects of firm
- Working in a team structured environment
We are seeking a candidate with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience, with an engaging personality, who is a self-starter, detail oriented, who possesses excellent verbal and written communications skills, strong organizational skills, and excellent computer skills. Compensation will be commensurate with education, skills, and experience.
