Job Summary
Job Purpose Statement/s: Under general supervision of the Principal, the Teacher will be responsible to provide classroom instruction to the high risk adolescent students in an El Dorado County Juvenile Hall facility. This position is distinguished by teaching in a self-contained classroom of high risk adolescents between the ages of 12 and 18. The school operates year-round in a locked facility with a high student turnover.

Requirements / Qualifications
***This job opening is located at Blue Ridge, a locked juvenile detention facility*** Experience: A minimum of three (3) years’ recent experience working with alternative education or adjudicated youth is preferred. Education: Bachelor’s degree and valid teaching credentials, or eligibility for appropriate credentials/permits. Either a Mild to Moderate Education Specialist and a Single Subject Credential or a Mild to Moderate Education Specialist and Multiple Subject Credential is required.
