The Olympic Region Maintenance & Operations Division is seeking a skilled and motivated Facilities Planner 2 to join our team. Our mission is to keep Washington’s highways, facilities, and fleet in top condition, ensuring safe, reliable travel for the public while responding to natural disasters, weather events, construction impacts, and other critical needs. As a key member of the Facilities Maintenance Team, you will play an essential role in keeping WSDOT-owned properties and systems safe and functional. Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, this position is responsible for conducting facility condition assessments, analyzing space management needs, and developing Facility Work Requests to address maintenance and improvement projects. You will also provide Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) drawings to support facility initiatives and analyze regional properties, buildings, and equipment, including HVAC systems, plumbing, and garage doors—to ensure ongoing efficiency and reliability. In addition to technical responsibilities, you will collaborate with Area Maintenance Superintendents, Project Engineers, and the regional management team to provide facility-related planning and operational support. Your work will help ensure the safe, efficient operation of Olympic Region buildings and building systems directly supporting WSDOT’s mission to keep people and goods moving safely across Washington.
