The incumbent in this position will schedule, reschedule or cancel residents’ appointments and coordinate transportation to and from appointments including but not limited to medical, mental health, optical, and dental. To provide various duties to include but not limited to: create appointment reminder paperwork and transportation appointment schedules, maintain and the completeness of the medical record.
This position will travel between Hastings and Minneapolis Domiciliary Program locations.
The Minnesota Veterans Home in Hastings is a Domiciliary (DOM) which is an independent living community for Veterans. It provides a supportive environment that fosters a stable, healthy, and meaningful life for Veterans. Our rewarding program helps Veterans with their clinical, mental, chemical, and physical needs, and has the capacity to serve 195 Veterans between the Hastings and Minneapolis campuses. We offer a creative, fun, collaborative, and stimulating work environment that encourages professional growth.
The Hastings DOM is located in the southeast metro with connecting highways for an easy commute. The beautiful 128-acre wooded campus includes mature oaks and pines, nature trails and biking paths overlooking the Vermillion River.
Minimum Qualifications
- Skill in data entry sufficient to maintain accurate records and reports
- Skill in Typing/Keyboarding, using Microsoft Word or equivalent software, sufficient to produce documents such as emails and other correspondence in an efficient and timely manner
- Skill in customer service sufficient to schedule and confirm customers' appointments in person, on the phone, and through email and other written or electronic correspondence
- Ability to enter data into established spreadsheets
- Valid driver's license or the ability to travel regularly between Hastings and Minneapolis Veterans Homes
